Located on a 180 acre site located 90 miles southwest of St. Louis, this lakeside shelter is part of the natural restoration of the property, including native prairies, restored woodlands and a perimeter lakeside nature trail. The project’s components included Ipe wood for the trail docks and bridges and timber framing with metal roofs for the shelter. The reclaimed farm is a beautiful example of a dedicated conservation plan to restore the natural environment for the prairies and woodlands once dominant in the area.
