Denver Sloan’s Lake Addition

Located in northwest Denver’s Sloan’s Lake neighborhood, this original 1940’s traditional brick home includes period details of brick, wood and interior finishes. This 450 s.f. addition allows the homeowner’s mother to move into a new “cottage” addition with a master bedroom suite, including a vaulted ceiling in the sitting room with window seats overlooking the garden areas. Located at the rear of the house, the addition includes a covered porch with private entry, outdoor patio and gardens. Indoors, the addition connects with a new open stairway to the basement and kitchen, both remodeled as part of the project. Traditional detailing is included throughout, seamlessly blending the old with the new. Completed: Summer 2015 (Photos by Zac Cornwell)
